MINIMARKET GETS A SECOND CHANCE WITH SS2011 COLLECTION

Okay, okay, after my pretty negative blog about one shoe of minimarket. I have to admit, their SS2011 collection is beautiful!! Rough, huge, sharp edges and still a bit feminine...

The wedges remind me of these Japanese slippers the geisha's are wearing, those will look beautiful under a feminine skinny treggings or a romantic dress. Or the cut-out shoes look so funny!

But I prefer these wedges, I can imagine they will walk wonderful!

WHERE IS MY HEEL?

Reading an article about heel-less shoes on Style.com gave me an urge to look for more... With a good result. I even think I like them better then the ones have been shown in the article.

UNITED NUDE DOES IT WITH IRIS VAN HERPEN

As a Dutch girl I can not ignore the great shoe designer Rem D. Koolhaas of United Nude. He designed some shoes for Iris van Herpen her A/W collection that is based on the theme,‘stimulating every sense of the human body’. The Futuristic approach of United Nude blended with the softly human designs of Iris. Magical shoes I would say....(only 240 will be available)

SHAPE UP

Always wanted to cut in your own shoe?? Here is your opportunity, via T Magazine:
Pesce’s new shoe for the Brazilian company Melissa (also known from the Vivienne Westwood rain-boots etc.) — an ankle bootie composed of interconnected PVC circles, whose form can change at the whim of its owner with a swift slice of the scissors.
Cut once, and the boot becomes a bootie; cut again, and it’s a ballet flat, a peep toe, a sandal or even a flip-flop.
‘‘This is the future of mass production,’’ Pesce says. ‘‘With the technology we have today, we can give people something that is half done and ask them to finish it.’’

Not the most beautiful wannahaves but just love the idea of grabbing your scissors and start shaping your boot circle by circle.....

FROM MINIMARKET TO SUPERMARKET

I have seen these shoes of Minmarket on asos.com and I am afraid they will look huge on every feet.  I am not sure what it is...but I have the feeling that the shoe seems to be longer then it actually is just because of the contrast at the toe.

Seeing Minimarket, I had to think of SPRMRKT in Amsterdam. This great concept store opened this year a new store called SPRMRKT STH, and they are selling Helmut Lang! In contrary to the Minimarket shoes I love the shoes collection for the A/W 2010 with the slouchy too big leg warmers. Oversized is my motto of 2010!
